Follow up Care
Conditions found at a comprehensive exam may need visits throughout the year to properly monitor for worsening. Examples could include:
- Treating and managing glaucoma with recurrent IOP (eye pressure) monitoring.
- Initiating and following up on dry eye treatment plans and providing eyelid cleansing services to minimize risk for chronic infections common when eyelid hygiene falls to the wayside with age and facility living.
- More frequent checks for higher risk macular degeneration patients to rule out the need for outside treatment.
- Patients will be referred for in-office care if warranted for their case.
