Our mission at Voyage Eye Care is to ensure every person has access to quality, comprehensive eye care.
Meet Dr. Kirsten Donnellon
Dr. Donnellon is a native to Michigan, growing up in Oakland County. She has over 15 years of experience in both optometry and ophthalmology clinics treating ocular conditions including Macular Degeneration, Glaucoma, Cataracts, Diabetic Eye Disease, and more.
Dr. Donnellon founded Voyage Eye Care to expand access to eye care for those who are unable to travel to a traditional office. She is dedicated to improving the eye health of underserved populations, particularly seniors and individuals with mobility challenges and dementia/cognitive impairments.
Dr. Donnellon’s mother suffered from Alzheimer’s dementia and lived in four different facilities—including independent living, assisted living, memory care, and a group home—before passing away at the age of 76. Working alongside the facilities to coordinate her mother’s care, Dr. Donnellon recognized the significant lack of access to eye care. In addition to facility visits, Dr. Donnellon also recognizes the struggle for family members who serve as the primary caregiver for their loved ones at home. She offers in-home visits as well to help serve this population.
She understands the unique needs of seniors and elderly residents and works to provide compassionate care to all.
